Kid-friendly veggie dinners

Children may be picky eaters due to smell, texture, or taste sensitivities. It’s a great idea to experiment, using dishes they already like and making small tweaks along the way. We have found dishes the not only look great, but the kids will love!

Let's dive right in!

1. Haloumi parmigiana bake

Ditch the chicken and swap it for some delicious halloumi in this Aussie classic, coated in panko breadcrumbs and covered in mozzarella. It is easy to cook and only takes 40 minutes, making it a winner for school nights.

2. Mexican-style stuffed peppers 🌶🌶🌶

Mexican food is made for having fun with. We love to stuff capsicums with brown rice and black beans, then top with chilli cheese and fresh, homemade guacamole for an easy-peasy family meal. If the kids can't handle spice, try a mild cheese instead.

3. Black Bean & Cheese Sliders

Like burgers, but smaller, sliders are a great way to hide veggies in your children's dinners. Try BBQ style black bean mini burgers with sun-dried tomatoes. Top with melted cheddar cheese and dress them up with an avocado and Greek yoghurt sauce. Yummy! 🍔🍔🍔

4. Rainbow pizza

Get the kids involved with making dinner by painting your pizzas with a medley of colourful vegetables. You can use almost anything, from mixed red and yellow tomatoes to green olives, fresh basil leaves and sprouting broccoli, but don't forget the bocconcini! 🍕🍕🍕
